EPPOSI is an EU patient-led partnership between patients' organisations, science and industry, founded in 1994 for the exchange of information and discussion of policies in EU human healthcare.

EPPOSI's primary mission is to establish a strong European alliance of patients' organisations, academic science and industry  jointly working on healthcare policies towards treatment and prevention of serious diseases.

 

EPPOSI 10th Workshop on Partnering for Rare Diseases Therapy Development

EPPOSI is pleased to confirm its 10th Workshop on Partnering for Rare Disease Therapy Development which will be hosted by the Belgian Federal Parliament on Monday 26 – Tuesday 27 October 2009 in Brussels.   The event will be co-chaired by Mr. Yann Le Cam (EURORDIS), Pr. Jean-Jacques Cassiman (ESHG), Dr. Erik Tambuyzer (Genzyme Europe)
 Key themes to be covered by this year’s workshop include
  • What is the impact of the economic crisis on the field of rare diseases – and what is the vision on further progress  in R&D, diagnosis and patient care?
  • Building on the public policy base of the last 10 years: How to advance policies in the next 5 years?
  • Rare Cancers: Specific challenges within rare diseases?
