EPPOSI 10th Workshop on Partnering for Rare Disease Therapy Development
Brussels, Belgium, Federal Parliament, 26&27 October 2009
Thanks to a strong organising committee lead by its three co-Chairs – Yann Le Cam (EURORDIS), Jean-Jacques Cassiman (ESHG) and Erik Tambuyzer (Genzyme) – the EPPOSI 10th PRDTD ended successfully by suggesting concrete recommendations related to the three discussed topics.

EPPOSI Workshop on Clinical Trials - Shaping the Future of European Clinical Research Legislation
Brussels, Belgium, Diamant Conference Center, 22 April, 2009
At the end of this working day, delegates recommended that; first, the revision of the Directive should lead to setting up a European harmonised process for clinical trials. Second, Patients should be more involved at the earliest steps and coordination with other stakeholders – industry and regulator – should be improved.
The Organising Committee was co-chaired by David Haerry (EATG), Ingrid Klingmann (EFGCP) and Patricia Pellier (Merck-Serono).
